The Visiting Critic Program

How galleries find artists & what gallerists are looking for. The Summer 2022 Visiting Critic Program “Gallery Edition” offers in-depth feedback, exposure and connections with 4 respected gallerists and art world professionals. Class is led online via Zoom by Jared Linge, Founder of High Noon Gallery, in company with a strong group of artists from around the country. Visiting critics include Tom McGlynn, Artist and Writer; Hall W. Rockefeller, Founder of Less Than Half and the LTH Salon; Fatemeh Burnes, Artist, Curator & Director of the gallery at Mt. San Antonio College, Walnut CA, and Sharmistha Ray, Artist, Curator & Co-Founder of the feminist collective Hilma's Ghost.

Each visiting guest speaker will introduce themselves with a brief presentation and Q+A. Next, artists in class present online slideshows of their art work and prepare questions for faculty, guest speaker and peers. This program helps take one’s work, thinking and process in new and exciting directions.
